PDO THREAD LIFT

FACIAL TREATMENT

PDO THREADLIFT IN WESTLAKE VILLAGE, CA

The PDO (Polydioxanone) thread lift is a non-invasive treatment which lifts and tightens sagging skin tissues, using threads made of PDO. The threads are introduced into the deeper layers of the skin.

Once introduced, the threads have 3 amazing effects on the skin:

  • Skin tightening. By contracting fat tissue.
  • Collagen stimulation. Which promotes cellular renewal and improves skin texture, fine lines and elasticity.
  • Instant skin lifting. PDO instant Results.

The lifted facial contour will remain for about 12-15 months after procedure, due to the collagen stimulation effects. Six months after the procedure PDO threads will disappear because they are absorbable. Your skin cells are stimulated to produce new collagen and new blood vessels to improve skin microcirculation. At the same time, the PDO threads cause the fat tissue to contract and produce the skin tightening effect.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

A PDO thread lift is a revolutionary new treatment in the world of aesthetics, but PDO threads themselves have been used safely for decades for various applications, like treating gynecological disorders or suturing incisions after medical procedures. When used as an aesthetic treatment, there are a few things you should know.

First, it mechanically results in instant skin lifting. Second, it contracts fat tissue to result in instant skin tightening. Third, it promotes collagen production and neovascularization to renew your skin at the cellular level. All of this works together to give you enhanced skin texture, fewer fine lines and wrinkles and more elastic skin.

One of the best things about this treatment is it only takes 15 to 30 minutes. After that, you’re free to go back to work or whatever else you had scheduled for the rest of your day.

This treatment is completely safe. It is approved by the FDA for safety and efficiency. Moreover, hundreds of thousands of treatments have been performed and there are no reports of allergic reactions, sensitivities to the threads, or serious side effects or risks.

How long the PDO threads last depends on a number of factors, including the thickness of the threads, the quality of the threads and your body’s rate of metabolism. However, most of our clients find that the threads have dissolved within six to nine months.

  • Nasolabial Folds
  • Lips
  • Eyelids
  • Crows Feet

PDO lifting delivers immediate Results which continue to improve over the next two to six months as new collagen is produced. Although the PDO threads will slowly dissolve, you’ll continue to see Results for up to 3 years.

The only way to figure out if PDO lifting is right for your body is to consult with an experienced medical professional to weigh your options.

AFTERCARE

Pre – PDO Instructions:

Consultation: Ensure you have a thorough consultation with your healthcare provider to discuss your medical history, allergies, and any medications or supplements you are taking.

Medical Conditions: Inform your practitioner about any medical conditions, especially those that affect healing (like diabetes), or if you have a history of keloids or poor wound healing.

Medications and Supplements: Avoid Blood Thinners: Typically, you should avoid aspirin, ibuprofen, and other NSAIDs, as well as vitamin E, omega-3 fatty acids, and certain herbal supplements like ginkgo biloba, garlic, and St. John’s Wort for about a week before the procedure, as they can increase bleeding and bruising.

Consult About Prescriptions: Do not stop prescribed medications without consulting your doctor, especially if you are on blood thinners for medical reasons.

Skin Care: Avoid Certain Treatments: Refrain from undergoing chemical peels, laser treatments, or other skin procedures in the area to be treated for a few weeks prior to your PDO thread lift.

Skin Condition: Ensure your skin is in good condition, without any active acne, infections, or significant inflammation in the area to be treated.

Lifestyle Adjustments: Alcohol: Avoid alcohol for at least 24-48 hours before the procedure, as it can increase the risk of bruising and swelling.

Smoking: Smoking can impair healing. It’s advisable to stop smoking or reduce it significantly before and after the procedure.

Hydration: Stay well-hydrated leading up to the procedure.

Post-PDO Instructions:

• After the treatment, DO hold ice packs on the areas that are treated with filler gently for a few times that day.

• Treated areas may be red, swollen, and bruised for the first 2-7 days.

• DO NOT get a facial or massage for 1-2 weeks after your filler procedure.

• Avoid strenuous workouts and alcohol for 24 hours if possible.

• DO massage treated areas ONLY if instructed by your provider.

• If bruising occurs, continue Arnica supplements or apply topical Arnica gel, drink fresh pineapple juice, and/or take Bromelain supplements to help bruising resolve faster.

• Bruising can be covered with makeup. Examples: Dermablend (available at CVS or Macy’s) or Colorescience Corrector Palette. Schedule your next session as recommended by your physician. In about 1 week you should be looking your best! We want you to have an outstanding result. If you have any questions or unexpected concerns, please call the office for assistance.
