The American Society of Plastic Surgeons recently published a new study about the use of Botox for scars, and the results are impressive. In a nutshell, apparently another use of the wonder injection Botox have been discovered – and that is to minimize potential scarring of wounds after a surgery, more specifically, reconstructive surgery. The Study The study involved sixteen patients who have undergone facial plastic and reconstructive surgery within a four-month duration. Most of the patients had a birthmark removed. Each patient had each scar injected half with Botox and half with placebo.
