Typical Post-Treatment Responses

• Redness (erythema): May last 1–3 days, or slightly longer for deeper treatments.
• Swelling (edema): Mild to moderate swelling is common and usually resolves within 1–3 days.
• Warmth and tightness: Skin may feel warmer and tighter than usual immediately after treatment.
• Crusting and peeling: Skin may crust and peel for 3–7 days, depending on treatment intensity.
• Sunburn-like sensation: Mild discomfort or sensitivity can occur and should subside within a few days.

Instructions for Care

• A topical healing ointment may be applied before you leave the clinic. No bandages or wraps are needed.
• Use any post-procedure balm provided (or Aquaphor if preferred) for the first 3 days.
• Avoid makeup for 24 hours. If there’s no active oozing or redness, makeup can be worn after the first day.
• Resume your regular skincare routine after 2–3 days, except:
• Avoid retinoids for at least 5–7 days post-treatment.
• Do not scrub or exfoliate the treated areas. Treat the skin gently as if you had a sunburn.
• You may shower or bathe, but avoid hot water directly on the treated area and refrain from using harsh cleansers or washcloths.
• Avoid direct sun exposure for at least 2 weeks and apply a zinc oxide SPF 30+ sunscreen starting 24–48 hours after treatment—reapply daily.
• Multiple sessions spaced weeks apart may be recommended for optimal results.

Results Timeline

You may notice some initial tightening within a few days, but full improvements will develop over the next 3–6 weeks as collagen continues to rebuild. Most clients see enhanced results after about 28 days, which is the average skin cell turnover cycle.
